Rural Alaska Apprenticeship Opportunities
Rural Alaska is diverse, remote, and has unique challenges to offer sustained employment and training. Rural Alaska offers many obstacles with respect to a subsistence lifestyle, seasonal nature of work, and a lack of local job opportunities. Apprenticeship could be the answer for job seekers and employers in rural Alaska!
The Alaska Army and Air Guard both have an outstanding tradition and history of employing rural Alaskans. This training and work experience might be combined with Apprenticeship opportunities in the healthcare, oil & gas, forestry, transportation, mining, and construction industries . Alaska Guard members recently separating from Active Duty assignments might be eligible to use VA benefits towards Apprenticeship.
Employers, if you are interested in developing a local workforce, apprenticeship might be able to assist you with your workforce demands, requirements, and also with training skilled and loyal employees.
